Description

Escape to the tranquil setting of Lalapanzi Lodge and wake up to the sounds of the countryside, the smell of clean mountain air and the spectacular views of False Bay and the mountains. Choose between our recently renovated luxury B&B accommodation in the main lodge or our recent renovated exclusive self-catering lodges.

The main lodge has been designed with the style conscious guest in mind. Our philosophy while renovating the lodge was to keep it simple, modern and stylish while retaining the warmth and character of a solid log cabin. The lodge now boasts four luxury en-suite rooms and one luxury suite which come with a hearty cooked or continental breakfast

Hide yourself away from the world in one of our solid log self-catering lodges. Both lodges have been designed with the style conscious guest in mind. Our philosophy while renovation the self-catering lodges was to keep it simple, modern and stylesh while retaining the warmth and character of the solid log cabin. Both lodges have fully equipped open plan kitchen, a lounge with satellite TV & fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 2 or 3 bathrooms and a braai area in your own private garden. There’s also a large balcony from which you can enjoy the same panoramic views of False Bay & the Hottentots Holland Mountains as the main lodge.

Attractions

Even if you don’t leave the estate you won’t struggle to entertain yourself. Take a leisurely stroll around our pine farm. Chill out by the pool with views over the Hottentots Holland Mountains and the sea. Hike around the game park, part of the Wedderwill Country Estate which we’re situated on. Relax on the balcony of the main lodge with a glass of wine while watching the black eagles, fish eagles and a whole variety of kestrels, kites and other local wildlife.

Or if you want to get out and about a few of the activities available close by include:

• Horse riding around the local farms and vineyards
• Wine tasting tours of the Cape Winelands, including Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl
• Fly fishing, course fishing or sea fishing
• Golf: The Erinvale Golf Course, Somerset West Country Club and Strand Gold Club are only a short drive away
• Whale watching – between July and December
• 4x4 driving or quad biking in the Hottentots Holland Mountains
