For the more active, mountains, vineyards, golf & cheetahs await. Breathtaking golf and hiking are just 10 mins drive away – as are Stellenbosch’s 100 or so wine farms. The challenge is choosing; but River Manor has experts on hand with tailored tours to suit.

If history’s your thing, Stellenbosch provides – the Village Museum is a model of its kind & several of the nearby wine farms boast historic manor houses as well as exquisite restaurants. But for now, imagine a coffee at ‘The Blue Orange’ (5 mins stroll), before a browse along historic Dorp Street (1 min) before taking in the Village Museum (7 mins). Then perhaps a cooling dip followed by a twilight concert at Oude Libertas amphitheatre (5 mins drive). And that’s just day one…
